Elopement Tuscany – Katharina and Patrick

When Katharina and Patrick told us about their idea to plan an elopement in Tuscany to promise themselves eternal love there, we were immediately on fire. Their uncomplicated manner is exactly like ours. Therefore we were able to support them with some tips during the planning. Since we have been to Tuscany many times, we recommended San Gimignano and Volterra for their big day. We love these two small towns with so much Italian flair and still very quiet especially in the early season and because of Corona.

They took the long way from Washington and rented a small house very close to San Gimignano. There the Getting Ready for the Elopement in Tuscany took place. Of course, a glass of wine was not to be missed.

Patrick waited for his great love in the olive groves. Above all the scent of lemon trees and the view of the city were simply magical. In this atmosphere Katharine and Patrick promised their eternal love. An incredibly emotional moment for the two. After the ring exchange, they kissed underlined by the bells of San Gimignano.

Immediately after, they called their family in the US via Face Time and told them about their elopement in Tuscany. Catherine giddy before taking off and said they were going to NYC for a few days. Their families couldn’t believe it, but the Tuscan landscape made it easy to see where they really were. Everyone rejoiced with them.

Our next stop was Volterra. The view of the city is still fascinating to us. As we strolled through the alleys we were able to capture their love in pictures.

On the way back to San Gimignano we were able to see a breathtaking sunset. The poppies, the vineyards were bathed in golden light before the sun changed to a deep red. In the evening we still walked through the lonely streets of San Gimignano and were able to end the elopement in Tuscany with an Italian meal.

For the two of them it went on to Postina. Also an elopement in Postina would be a wonderful idea.
